I am an enterprising, visual story teller. Most call this an artist but I feel the term is too broad. Since the time I could hold a pencil I’ve found a passion not just in artistic expression but doing so in a way that includes a broad audience. I revel at the opportunity to present a viewer with a piece of work and watch their reaction, be it laughter, tears, indignation, or triumph. This desire has shaped and molded my life to bring me to where I am today.
I come from an inherently creative family. Being the only girl of four children I’ve been exposed to quite an adventurous life. Each family member has taught me a wide range of skills from auto mechanics to music. My parents always encouraged me to be inventive and independent and I’ve carried these principles into adulthood.
Today I am always looking for new things to try my hand at; recently I took up the violin and taught myself to play. I am a devout book binder and my other hobbies consist of finding the most challenging and random craft to make every other month no matter the medium. I also have the heart and soul of a satirist and have spent the greater part of my life creating works to entertain and amuse, my current means of delivery being the internet. My story is just beginning and I am eagerly working toward a life of productivity and prominence.
I won first in the State High School Editorial Cartoon category. It was a cartoon depicting the hot issue of the Terry Shivo controversy, it asked the question: "Right to Live or Right to Die?"
I've graduated with my Bachelors of Visual Art
