I like it! My ward always has ice cream and cookies after something. Usually if one of the guys is saying the prayer he laughes when he says it. I always think it's funny when it's my bishop telling us to bless the junky refreshments he provieded. He always brings creamies.
XD I've been tempted to say something like: and please bless the refreshments won't make us diabetics, or give us kidney stones, or osteprosis or arthrise, or tooth decay or foot rot or lepricaughn bites or hepitise.....
Next time you should say: "Please bless it won't give us diabetes, or alshymers, or osteprosis, or, etc" and just keep naming tons of medical conditions caused by sugar and then see how many people eat the refreshments anyway. XD
Reminds me of that pic I saw once...This girl says, "and that concludes my talk on paying attention in church." And behind her the bishopbric is asleep along with anyone else on the stand, and everyone in the first row
I did that too once. Luckly I got them all awake. Though one kept nodding off, so it was a bit hard to get him. The second counselor in our bishopric is really strict, so you'll never catch him doing off
i swear, everytime someone says that in the prayer when we have refreshments, there is ALWAYS one or two people snickering and trying not to laugh.. it's usually the people who were in charge of the refreshment...we always seem to have junk food.
